2:52 PM (MON): Suzlon to raise Rs5000 cr through shares, net profit shoots up by 60%

Mumbai, August, 1 (PW News): The country’s major wind turbine maker, Suzlon Energy will raise Rs5,000 crore through the issuance of shares or other means, says an official report let out by the company. The company initiates this move after attaining a Rs60 crore net profit in the first quarter FY12, as against a loss of Rs912 crore in the first quarter of the previous financial year. Consolidated sales of the company attained a 80% rise to Rs43.26 billion from Rs23.99 billion and its total expenses in the first quarter reported a Rs40.30  billion rise from Rs30.77 billion a year ago.
