Mumbai, July, 19 (EPC News): National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has allocated Rs770 crore for rural infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir during current financial year. The company has further sanctioned Rs54 crore for 80 projects consisting of 17 Minor Irrigation projects (Rs 19 crore), 26 Rural Drinking Water Supply Schemes (Rs 25 crore) and 37 Animal/Sheep Husbandry projects (Rs 10 crore) for creating veterinary facilities. The project aims to generate an irrigation potential of 1,994 hectares and drinking water facilities to about 168,740 people residing in the neighboring areas.
