Mumbai, June, 23 (PW News): Power major, NHPC plans to invest Rs2,400 crore for setting up three projects in Jammu & Kashmir. The projects will be executed through a joint venture with Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation and PTC India. Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd, the firm formed through joint venture will implement the three projects. The projects are expected to have a total capacity of over 2,100 MW, wherein Pakal Dul has 1,000 MW, Kiru – 600 MWand Kwar-520 MW. The JVC expects to complete the first project – Pakal Dul within a six to seven years. A 70:30 debt-equity ratio is followed for executing these three projects.
